  • What's up with all the Subject too Far Away rejects?

I am not starting a war but I will probably get flamed for this but I have noticed that most of my rejections lately have been rejected for the subject being too far away. I do agree maybe in one or two photos but the rest, I compare them with other accepted shots at the same place and similar plane and don't understand. Just forget about the other rejection reasons which are mostly correcet and just emphasise on the Subject too far Away reason. Here are the photos in doubt:

I know its far but what matters is the concept of the shot. (That's just my opinion)

Just take a look and see if its fair, remember I am not starting a fight with anyone, its just curiosity towards why so many recent rejections for this

    Thanks for your attention!
    Tomas.

TBH I'd say most are badly cropped as there is alot of dead space. Maybe a screener can confirm this.

Well You have to consider how much dead space you got around the aircraft.
Also this is not only rejected by one reason, Bad photo-edge might be the killer on this image.

Disagree - Bad cropping, Not likely so, I like this one !

Agree and disagree, It seems a bit soft on my screen but rejecting this by too far away. I mean check the environment. You should sharpen this a little bit and reupload.

Agree. I would have left out the stuff like the sign and tree tops in the bottom.
Dust spot in the upper right corner.

Agree. 1/2 of the image is highway stuff. 2/10 of the image is the subject. Great photo though. You should appeal this one *crosses fingers for ya*

Agree. The photo looks so great it could have been "cropped" a little closer. Also careful of oversharpening this one, *See Halos around the wheels.

Hmm, the screeners have voted already, don't you think?

Obviously the "too far" rejection worked, as you seem to have understood that many of the pics have to much empty space around the planes and none of the pics does gain anything by the blank space. The moonshot probably, but imho the quality is not there anyway.
