Rules for reuploading?

Hi,

Are there any guide lines for reupolading photos, for example can you substantially re-crop an image, (ie show areas of a subject that were previously cropped out) ?

The re-uploading image section of the site is primerily there for submitting the same photo as uploaded previously with a better post processing job attained.
