  • Help With Military Aircraft

I was able to get a few shots of a C-5 on short final while doing laps in the pattern at WPAFB a few days ago & submitted one of the better pictures into the database.

However, it was rejected for having categories wrong or missing and bad info in the genre field. I've never worked with military aircraft before & have no idea about many of them other than their model (example being I had to look up how the military does their regs to get the tail # on this particular shot).
So when I go to resubmit it, what do I need to check & correct for a C-5 shot?

The reg is good, just Military and Cargo need to be checked.

better remove the dust spot just behind the tail low.

Nothing like having a C-5 go over you that low.

        Josh,

YYZ was correct. Your upload had the Genre set to Civilian, and in the categories section for the military cargo planes, the 'cargo' category must be checked.

Fix those and the dust spot and all should be okay.

Ok, thanks for the help. I forgot about the genre option being there (Civ. vs. Military).

I heard a B-1 take off from DAB after the Pepsi 400 a couple of years ago. It had to have shaken every window on every building in a 2 or 3 mile radius.

I've got some other shots from where I took the original C-5 pic, but I can't tell if they're worth uploading.

God, it's been forever since I've seen a B-52, they always are put on the static list and never seem to show up here.
