  • JPG compression artefacts

    Hi All,

Just a quick question so I can understand this reject, and maybe where I went wrong. I understand the dirty scan/dust spots , but the other one "JPG compression artefacts" I'm not too sure what it means? I'll link to the reject so you can see the original!

    Many thanks

Jpeg artefacts are caused by the compression process when the jpeg file is created. It can be seen as unnatural blotches in the sky or in your case in areas of high contrast, like around wing tips around undercarriage etc. If you equalise your finished image they are a lot easier to see.
