  • Rejection-digital manipulation

I had this photo rejected for digital manipulation. If you look at the powerlines you will see that it looks like some parts of it are cloned out. So I went back to the original photo and found that the wire is just missing the black part around it and the thin wire that is exposed is just barely visible, and not visible at all with a re-sized, smaller version. Anyway, I appealed it and explained this but it still got rejected again for the same reason.

    Here is the rejected photo:

Here is the original: I had to resize it to 1600 to post it.
Unlimited space to host images, easy to use image uploader, albums, photo hosting, sharing, dynamic image resizing on web and mobile.

Can anyone help me out with this?

    Dylan,

Nice picture mate, not seen a Huey in the flesh for 15 years now and getting major withdrawal symptoms.
Just double check both your reject emails for a personal message…..surprises me that after your explanation, it was rejected the second time with no feedback from screeners.
Was it rejected for any other reason the second time (level maybe) ...........is the wiring the reason?
Just a side note this is the “D” model .. UH-1D.It is debatable as to the DB showing “Huey” in the aircraft type.
Huey is infact a nickname derived from the original designation.

      Hi Greg

Yes, in the first rejection letter the screener said it looks like I have cloned out some of the powerlines. Then after I appeled said the highest powerline has clear gap which clearly looks like incidentally cloned out. There were no other rejection reasons beside that one.

Also Thanks for the info that its a D model.

I have reuploaded the photo as the UH-1D and and explained it to the screener, as well as doing some re-leveling on it.

Thanks Greg for the leveling tip.

Well in this case it might of been better to clone in the gap! Goes against the grain really but I think it would look better.

Also checked our shot in the queue and the info is still incorrect. When uploading a shot with an unknown registration the reg should be left blank, do not put 'unknown' in the reg box or you will get another info rejection. If you could go and edit the info of your image you will at least not get an info rejection.

            Good luck .. Jid

Well even with my eyes I can see the wire where the insulation is missing.
However I would recommend a suitable crop that allows you to remove that part of the image rather than cloning.

Jid, I went to the photo to take out the reg but there wasn't one and I never put anything in. I remove the photo from the Q and try and crop the wires out then re-upload it.

                Thanks for the help.

I re-uploaded it and cropped out the wires. Does this one look ok?
