  • Don't agree with this rejection and appeal rejection

    Your appeal for photo id 1327383 has been processed and has been rejected.
    Admin Comments >> Photo ID: 5921469 is similar in angle, composition and background
    >> http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject_b.php?id=1327383

    So the above photo was rejected because they thought it was the similar angle, composition and background as

    [photoid=5921469]

    This one above was taken on the ramp, parked with a crew chief climbing down from the cockpit ladder.

    The rejected photo is 2 A-10s taxing down the taxi way to the EOR. The aircraft is running and the background isn't even close to the same. In this rejected shot, the background is a soft hanger where the accepted is the Ops building.

    The other similar rejection I got I totally agree with, but this one I felt was different enough to appeal. I just wanted a few more opinions?

    thanks,

    Its close, but i agree they are different enough to allow both in the DB.

      No, the first one was accepted with the crew chief and is the more interesting of both. The second is similar in angel and light, even the cockpit is open too.

        they're not different enough...other than the fact one is moving and the other isn't, there is very little difference in composition at all. you're already pushing the limits with that a/c with another in db that seems to have been a nose crop but are relatively the same composition.

          If you're referring to the one above, that's parked at the EOR. As far as the lighting being the same. One previous one that was accepted has the sun on the left hand side. The one that was rejected has the sun showing on the left. You can clearly tell they are in different locations?

          Still don't agree but I'll move on....

            both show as KBAF...click on the link and look at the first two images...having sun doesn't mean an automatic acceptance.

              then wouldn't these be the same?

              [photoid=5924339]

              [photoid=5924336]

              It's obvious all he did was walk up and to the left of the aircraft. If I had uploaded "walk around" shots of when the CC was around the plane, I totally consider that "simiar photos". A few minutes apart and a change of composition.

              But different location on the ramp/taxi way seems to NOT be similar?

              It's just difficult to figure what the guidelines are when they are many examples in the DB that are the same that others get rejected for.

              thanks

                You did notice that this plane has a new special scheme ?

                And those two are comaprable to the two ramp shots you got accepted. A third photo of the "red nose day" A320 from the same side, taken during taxing would have been rejected as well.

                  I agree with the rejection. The second one is about the same. Composition, angle, aircraft configuration, date...

                  I think the best one was accepted. The crew chief ladder is nice.

                    I have to agree with you Dave. With the amount of "same" airliners shots we get on here, applying this rule would mean very few pictures would actually make it on to the DB. In my view these shots are entirely different and the appeal rejection is unjustified.

                        it doesn't help your argument by searching the db and posting other peoples work, as mentioned that 757 is of significance and that's why the 2 images were accepted.

                        you've had the best two of the particular aircraft accepted..
