  • Three rejects - Help please

Hey there. I just got some photos rejected. Some I fully agree with, but these three I am wondering if they can be salvaged.

Without seeing the originals (they are at home, and I'm at work now), do you think any of these can be salvaged?

Kai, I would say only No.3 could be saveable with a re-edit. Needs less of a yellow glow. It does look it also needs a touch of CCW rotation. 1 & 2 are too backlit.

Thanks I accidentally had my camera set on sunset mode when I took number 3, so I hope it can be saved.

I guess spotting at 2-4pm is a bad idea huh?

At first glance I thought had been taken shortly before sunset, but then I checked the EXIF

You should be able to reduce the saturation enough to rectify it.

I think you may need to adjust the white balance, not just the saturation. The mode on your camera appears to have 'warmed' the picture up. Reduce the amount of red in the pic. Or if you have it in PS, use the remove colour cast/WB tool.

I'm not really all that good with editing. If anybody wants to have a try, here's the original I would appreciate it

reduced saturation by -32 added a touch of brightness & contrast that's all. (Original on the right)

Sweet. So if I do that it should be good enough to upload?

Kai, I didn't notice the link to the original image until just now, I have done an edit of it for you. If you send me your email address via PM I'll mail you your image back.
                  Regards
                  Mark
