Too little contrast I agree, but on my moniter the pre-upload has more contrast whereas the uploaded, on my moniter, is as you see it. Maybe I've changed something as this is the 3rd or 4th to be rejected for this reason. Please can someone offer me a pointer.

did you save it? i know i've been stupid enough not to save my pictures. also was it a .jpg? and did you save it at 100% quality?

Yes & I know what you mean

I think adjusting the Adobe Gamma in Windows has fixed it, 5 pics in the queue so we'll find out soon.
