  • Need help with resizing

    Hi,

I am getting really tired of getting all my pics rejected.

In 2006 I got 571 uploaded and last year only 50 got in.

One of the reasons is the size. When saving into jpg prior uploading I select 1024*768 but by some strange reason it is save as 1024*650. This is done in Irfanview.

When I go into Photoshop Elements 4.0 and write 1024 it is automatic setting 650.

I hope you can help me, i am really getting fustrated.
    Best regards

When cropping your image in PS Elements go to the boxes above the pic and enter 3 and 2, or 4 and 3. This way when you crop the image it won't be outside the site guidelines. Good luck!
Here's a pic to show you where the boxes are.

      Hi Chris,
I tried to do as you showed, but when saving the pic and checking it at itīs location it save by 2757*1776 and thatīs with 4*3. And the same when trying with 3*2.

It seems like it wonīt take it when done maunally.

        Cropping

After cropping your image with 3-2 ratio. resize it to 1024 it should show 1024 X 683.

Okay, I have tried alot of times, but now I get a white frame around the picture. But the size is getting smaller.

I am soon giving up on this...

Peter, I really suggest you read the manual of your photo editing software. Resizing a photo is probably the simplest thing to do on a photo.
