  • Spot the spots

    Just got this one rejected.

    http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject_b.php?id=1881352

It wasn't really worth an appeal as now I can see it is soft. I am processing it now and I have sharpened it up.

However hard I try, I can't find these dust spots.

Thanks in advance for your help

    Regards

Equalize the photo, then you'll see them. Check out Jid's workflow for help, it will also guide you through, how to remove them.

This is your picture equalized. The dust spot is more apparent:

aahaa so there's just the one spot down there that I can see... thanks a lot, i'll just clone that out.
How do you equalise your images? I usually just adjust the midtones on the RGB levels to see the spots.

Thanks once again for your help!

Photoshop provides a tool therefore, go under "images" - "adjustments" there you'll find an entry called "equalize" just click on it and you'll get the photo equalized.

...but for goodness sakes don't do anything to the picture while it's equalised. You won't be able to reverse the equalisation and will have to start processing the pic all over from the beginning. The only time you can work on an equalised pic is if you create an "action" like the one described in Jid Webbs' latest workflow. See the part relating to dust removal.
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

Could you pass on a link so I can have a look at this workflow?

I've now got myself a blower for my sensor which I picked up from my photography shop as I did notice most of my pics did have sensor dust in the top left hand corner.

Thanks all for the help, much appreciated.

                  This is Jid's 1st workflow.

If you're after the advanced workflow, you need to look here.

                  Good luck.
