Almost of your picture's exifs show ISO setting is 400.
    Mettering Mode is Pattern
    Compensation +0.7

I am not a Nikon user but it might be you set ISO Auto or you just did not re-setting it again.

Center weighted Meterring is almost used under backlight condition or (Partial) Spot Metering.

1st: Av priority f8 ISO 100 (-800), center weighted, center focus point (or all)

2nd: Tv Priority ISO 100 (-800) center weighted center focus point (or all)

3rd Manual: Depend on a day when i feel confident enough to set it up all maunual.

    Hope it helps

    How could you tell?!!!

I might as well spill the beans (on how NOT to do it) LOL

my ISO is set to 100 but it usually overides this and chooses 400 in those light conditions

and yes I have actually got my 'optimise image' to custom with a sharpening setting of 2 which is the maximum.

    What settings do you advise?

    Kind Regards

    4+5. worth a try

the Saudi does not do much for me

OK the Kuwait (number 3) is deleted from the que.

    for number 1.

I have sharpened it more, especially on the tail, however I am unsure what to do about the contrast. Is it too little??

    for number 2.

I shall sharpen it a tad bit more.

any comments on how I can improve the Saudi? thats really what I need. Or is it a shot that is for the personal collection

The Kuwait Airways one looks blurry around the nose and cockpit windows.

The Virgin Atlantic looks off too. It looks like there are jaggies around the logos and the nose/cockpit look blurry aso. Plus the colours done look right.

If that makes everyone happy then next time that's what I'll do

I just ask as I've been getting many rejections for my picture's being soft. I should have probably mentioned it in my first post.
After re editing them I just stuck them in the que. I dont want to waste the screeners time any more, so if they are really bad I can simply delete them from there.

Also Ive been having problems with my 'dusk' shots therefore was unsure if the Saudi would make the grade, therefore I didn't put it in the que and wanted a 'preliminary' screening lol.

Also I have a shot which I am considering for upload as a dusk shot, opinions/comments for improvement on this one would also be much appreciated.

Many thanks for your assistance once again.
