There have been certain screeners putting in some astonishing work this weekend as well as a pretty good effort from the majority of the screening team! Your kinds words are appreciated!

        You are welcome

If a picture is really nice, which means the screener has to just sit back for a moment and thinks something like "omg THAT is soo nice", we can check a screener's choice box, it is at the lower left in the image I posted. To be sure it is a really nice picture, we normally put it in vote for a second screener. So both screeners have to be enthusiastic about it

        cheers, Pamela

Among other things, it is the friendliness and this kind of "transparency" that made JP a fun place to be. Thanks for the insight, Brian and Pamela. I am proud being part of the JP community

Indeed thanks for all the behind the scenes info on screening at jetphotos.net. I fully agree with Brian in that the screening is fast. Just last week my photos were in the queue at number 400 and all photos got screened two days later, amazing and a job well done!

Regarding Screener's Choice photos, I put a comment in the "comment to screeners" box when uploading these two photos that have been accepted:

                http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.p...6343398&nseq=2

I hoped these photos or one of these photos would make a screener's choice photo but apparently they didn't. I just love the rain effect on the aircraft and runway. Night photos are also very nice to take.

I was not familiar with how it works with screener's choice selection, hence my comment. I will now never ask for a SC tag.

                    Best regards,

I hope this question fits here if not, I will put it in a new thread.

I was waiting for a result of a photo that was being screened after 3 others were accepted, and at one point the "Period Total" box said that I had 1 rejection after the first 3 was accepted. I then got an email confirming the 3 acceptations and it also said that the other shot had been screened by one screener. The image wasn't in the "Rejected Photos" page either. Awhile later the shot was accepted and the rejection box showed 0. My question is: will the rejections box show 1 being rejected if one screener has already chosen to reject it even though it isn't out of screening yet?

I hope that makes sense, that may be the long way of asking it but I haven't had much sleep

While the pic is in screening it is listed as rejection, just to get the calculation for the up-load limit correct. It does have no impact for you, as you are an "Elite" member, but for the basic membership it would open an option to up-load more then you are allowed, if it would be different.

                            Thanks for the explanation Stefan

I was wondering how does it work for the photos taken by screeners... do they have to pass through the queue system just like the rest of us or do you have some sort of preferential treatment for helping and contributing so much to the site's operation?

Nope, our photos are in the same queue as any other photo. No preferential treatment here. The payment we get for working here for free can be seen here:
