On my screen it looks like the Air Canada and the Iberia has a small halo around it's rightwing.
The histogram of the Virgin A340 shows that it's dark. The BA 747 also.
    But there great shots

There are too many to go through individually but generally they're good and don't really need much work at all. Just two main things I notice. Firstly, you have a tendancy to place the aircraft a little too low in the frame. Generally the fuselage should sit nice and central in the frame vertically, which it doesn't in a few of these. Maybe try cropping using a 3:2 aspect ratio. That will mean the frame won't be as high and it might be easier getting it central.

Secondly, these all appear slightly oversharpened. What technique are you using to sharpen?

Most people recommend 50 or 100 % 0.4 threshold and than do it a few times

I'd say 0.4 is a little on the large side for an image 1024 wide. Try 90-100% at 0.3 instead. That should work quite nicely.

Is also an option, I don't care about how to do it, it works for me.

                  I don't doubt that. I still think 0.4's a bit big for a 1024 wide image though.

Then again it would be a boring world if we agreed on everything!

That's right, and we should keep that.
It's just in the advantage of the photograver.

Shaggy, if you need more opinions, we are always ready to give it.

                      Wouldn't it just.....

......which is why I always start with 50_0.2_0

I find the sharpening easier to manage in small steps and especially so when some parts go on to require some selective sharpening.

BTW, the two Emirates 380 shots will get a similar rejection whichever gets to be the second one screened. I'm at work tonight but with a bit of luck I'll get a chance to take a closer look tomorrow, provided the world and his wife don't get to need an ambulance tonight.

I run my sharpening at 50%, 0.3 and pass over 2 or 3 times.
