  • Heat Distortion? Can it be fixed?

I just got about 4 pictures rejected due to heat distortion. Is there a way I can fix it? Or, do I just have to pick a better day to go out to the airport?
    Thanks

Heres two of the rejected ones

Pick a better day, you can't do much to reduce the haze

The only thing that you can do is to get very close to the aircrafts.

Try living in a place that has heat haze all year round..! As mentioned, get closer or pick a better day if any of those things are possible. In the rejected shot's situations, closer would help tenfold.

Since heat haze is caused by a temperature "difference" between the ground and overlying air, it is easy to have it on a cool/cold day. In order to minimize its effects, in addition to what was already advised, I would suggest shooting very early in the morning before things warm up. Late in the evening is OK however shooting across level ground, it would still persist. Hope this helps.
