  • Confused

I have a few accepted to the db but I'm still a wee bit confused by this rejection.

    - Bad Composition (bad framing / aircraft not centered)
Can it be any more centred? When it was rejected I took this image back into Photoshop and measured it top and bottom and it's about 30px out - is this really cause for rejection?

    - Categories wrong or missing
Really confused by this - what category should it have gone in to?

    Many thanks in advance.

If you look at the photo you see a watermark on it.
This can be used as the "centerline" of the photo and you can see the largest part of the fuselage is below that line.

For the categorie;I have no idea what's wrong or missing.

    Very nice panning shot btw.

Maybe this is where I'm going wrong - I'm not looking at the fuselage as the centre of the picture, but am working it out from the top of the tailplane to the top of the photo, and from the bottom of the wheel to the bottom of the photo.

      Very nice panning shot btw.
      Many thanks

Do you use a grid in photoshop? This can help you a lot with the cetering of the shot.
Maybe they were looking for the Small prop categorie

I do use the grid but as mentioned earlier I'm not making the fuselage the centre of the photo but work it out based on the tailplane and undercarriage

Maybe they were looking for the Small prop categorie
I'm almost certain I added it to the 'Small Props' category but have no way of checking now

I also did it when I started. Now you know it for in the future

So if I keep the fuselage in the centre I should be ok?

Most of people use the windows to center the plane. So do I.

                Regards

I also use the windows but when the plane is at an angle it can be
difficult sometimes, that's when the grid comes in

It is not in the Small Prop category.

You selected Business Jet for this aircraft, which it also is not!

                    Cheers.

Thanks AJ. On a side note I have a few Bombardier Dash 8 photos could you tell me what category they should be in?

Dash 8's don't need a category, apart from special scheme if that applies.
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

Done another edit. Could someone let me know if it's anywhere near acceptable?

                            Looks OK in my opinion.
