  • - Dirty Scan / CMOS Dust spots

This one was rejected. Reason:- Dirty Scan / CMOS Dust spots

Although I equalize the photo, I don't see a dustspot, but I think that my eyes are getting worse and that of the screeners are getting better.
After appealing the photo and of course it was rejected again, the comment told me where the dustspot is. But even then I don't see it.

    Question: where is the dustspot?

I shall not re-upload the photo again, because I can't wait another seven days.

Equalize just the sky - they show up better...

Pardon me saying this Paul but that seems slightly illogical ! You don't want to wait 7 days so you don't upload it at all ?

Thank you Moose, now I see them. I did equalize this photo before uploading ( I do that always), but I did not see them. They are very vague.

And Brian, I upload my photos in order of the date. I have now 28 photos in the queue of a later date. So when I remove the dustspots of the photo, and re-upload it again, then I have to remove the photos already in the queue. And start all over again.

Why would you care. You can have the pics displayed according to the up-load date or to the photo date. The db does not care.

Stefan, I like it that way. All my photos in order of date-taken.

One of my later date photos was rejected and the reason is again:
Dirty Scan / CMOS Dust spots.

But again I can't find them. So I need some help.

Who can find the dustspot(s) for me in the attached photo?

I can't help right now with the spots as I'm at work and don't have photoshop but.....

.....on the subject of date order.

If you go to your photographs ( on the home page select your photographer name ) you will see at the top a pair of drop down boxes with the word "displaying" between them.
Select in the left hand box the second from bottom option entitled "Date ( newest first ) and your pictures will display in date order as taken. It doesn't matter when you upload them, the display order will change automatically.

I must admit I haven't tried this but I believe that this is what Seahawk was getting at.

I'll take a look at the dust spot issue when I get home tomorrow morning.

Thank you very, very much Brian. I did not understand what Stefan means with his message, but now I do. I have, in all these years, never take a good look to displaying.

I am a member of JP since 2005 and I have never discovered what you two just told me.

Well I going to remove the dustspots of the Hurricane photo and re-upload it.

                Again thanks.

                  Paul,

the pic you have attached is different ot the one that was rejected.

                  http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject_b.php?id=2570969

The reject has a clear spot in the sky betwee nthe winglet and the tail.

You are right Stefan. I uploaded this photo also at Planepictures.net and they rejected the photo. Reason: Dustspot
The same photo was at that time in the que of JP.
When Planepictures rejected the photo, I searched for a dustspot and could not find it. By then I saw the little black spot. In my opinion it is not a dust spot, but a flying bird. And for some reason I removed it. That's why the photo is not the same anymore.
I do understand that the little black spot is the reason the photo is rejected.
But again it is not a dust spot, but a bird in the sky.
I was looking by equalizing the photo to a real dustspot and could not find it. That's why I asked for help.
