  • Lightening Shadows

    Guys,

Alot of photos I have the underside is very dark and the top is correctly exposed so I was hoping someone here could suggest some ways of lightening the shadows whilst not touching the well exposed areas. Without using shadows and highlights?
    Thanks

The best is way is to use the Quick Selective Tool(W) or the Lasso Tool(L).
With the Selective tool you can select an area that you want to edit. You can also adjust the size of the brush, if you want to select a small area or a larger area of your photo.
If you have selected an area, then you can use the normal tools to edit it.
With the Lasso you have to draw the your own line.

Or simply adjust the shadows using the curves. Works in most photos.
