  • overexposed nose, underexposed aircraft

    Hello,

I had the following photo rejected.

Screener's Comments: overexposed nose, underexposed aircraft

I don't understand that because the nose is in the shadow.

I appealed the photo but again rejected without any comment.

    Is the nose overexposed?

I know no other way then this forum to ask an explanation.

It was my comment and I realise I made a mistake. I meant "Overexposed BACKGROUND, not nose." Sorry for the confusion.

      Thank you for your answer.

The background is overexposed. That is new to me. The sky was very white, but the sun was in my back.

It is the airplane that counts.

I had more photos on the same day and the same spot and they are all accepted.

First was this photo rejected for dustspot, and nor fot overexposed. I removed the dustspot and re-uploaded the photo again, because nothing was said about an overexposed sky.

      So it puzzles me.

It's not just the aircraft which counts, it's the whole photo. Shooting in overcast days often result in photos with bad contrast, such as the example seen in your post.
