  • Were to go with this?

    Guys,
I've found some form of weird drive for some of older images that I've never bothered with before.
This one is a favorite of mine but I'm not sure were to start editing the image, so any suggestions would be appreciated.
    THanks

    Ryan,

She looks very soft now. I don't think you can fix that with editing.

      Erwin,
      Thanks for your response.
This is my last ditch attempt at this old crank, unless anyone knows how to recover files from about 4 months ago?

That's roughly two stops underexposed, Ryan. Possibly a little more, and has hardly any information in the shadows. You could adjust the contrast but it will probably look horrendous. I don't think much can be done with it to be honest.

Unfortunately, both of those photos won't make it.

First one is very soft (out of focus?), dark and has poor contrast. Looks like you've also got a dust spot on the right hand side of the image (equalise the image and you should see it).

Second one is soft, and very underexposed. I just tried to edit the second one, and the moment you adjust the levels to improve brightness, the shadow areas become very noisy.
