I'm assuming its the too far rather then dead space. I thought th eblur on th etower showed the speed, while there is enough detail on the F18 to make it worthwhile. Any opinions on its appeal merit?

No chance on appeal I'm afraid. To describe it brutally, and please don't be offended, it's a picture with a mid image dead space separating a blurry tower and a soft, grainy aircraft looked at from a rather unattractive angle.
Sorry.If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

No offence at all Brian. It's actually kind of helpful. So much of this site is perspective, and I honestly don't have a lot where my own shots are concerned, so blunt is very good.
