Make sure your save/export settings are at maximum quality. Even checking the file size should confirm the amount of compression. As an example, the second image is 1280pix and has a significant amount of background detail, so I would expect a normally compressed file to be in the 400-500k size. Yours is only 250k, which would indicate a higher amount of compression than normal.

The top of the fuselage has that wavy appearance that is a tell-tale sign of heat distortion. Some sharpening, contrast adjust (more contrast), and perhaps color adjustment (there is a cyan cast) could help improve it.

We are speaking about this image, yes?

          https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=6035334

It's 253k. I've tried on several different computers, and the same result. I've seen worse compression (some files we get are under 100k for a 1200 pix image) but generally the closer you get to 200k for any image over 1200 pix, the more likely you are to be able to see the compression in the image.

            • Hi, I had this photo rejected for, amongst other things, categories wrong or missing. Could someone please let me know what the issue was. Many thanks, Bob

Can't see which categories you submitted it as, but should have been Small Prop and Warbird/Vintage.

                • Hi,

is the obstruction caused by ground power unit on this photo acceptable, or too much to reject the photo?

                  • Small prop will be the category I'm guessing as I did have warbird/vintage selected. Thanks very much for the feedback

I was wondering how I can fix them from being dark/underexposed to be acceptable enough to be resubmitted or if they are just too far gone for use.

If it's noticed, yes. But I'd say 50/50 odds because of the color it would be missed in screening.

Exposure needs to be increased a considerable amount. I would also adjust the color (more red) and sharpen as well.

                        • Hey guys, I just recently have a few rejections due to Bad Color (Over/Under Saturation, Hue). I wonder how can I fix these? Is it because the pictures look yellow-ish?

                          • Hi!
I wanted to try adding some close-up shots to the database but I have no experience in it. I wonder if such crop would work?

                            • Got this one rejected for undersharpened/soft, I checked the full resolution file that was exported at the same time as the Jetphotos resolution and it is quite sharp, could it be just low contrast maybe?

There is an odd yellow/green cast, but it should be easy enough to fix with a WB adjustment.

There is no problem with the crop.

                                Sharpness looks passable to me.
