Lighting is quite poor for both (especially the first). Not sure more editing will make much of a difference, but if you feel compelled to try again, I'd focus on increasing the contrast on the AS. The UA doesn't seem fixable to me.
Which software do you use when editing? There should be some option to add sharpening in most photo editing software. That being said, your image is quite soft, almost blurry towards the edges, so I'm not sure more editing will help. The softness towards the edges would seem to indicate lens softness as the issue (see how the background is almost blurry on the left edge, but not so much in the center and on the right), although the focus might also be off. If you do try to re-edit it, I'd also recommend a little CCW rotation, as the verticals are all leaning right.
