  • Need info about backlit

    Hi,
I have posted the photo below in the prescreening Post.
And I got the answer Backlit.
I do not want to criticize this decision.

My first question is: how and where exactly do I recognize backlit on this photo?
I already googled backlit but Google gave me only results of backlight is that the same?

When on a photo backlit is present, is it possible to correct it on LR or PS?

Before uploading to JP, I have read the guidelines and also the backlit section.
It is written on this section the best way to avoid backlit is to taking photos with the sun in the back.
I took this photo with the sun right in my back.
    Thank you for reply.
    Greetings.

They are the same thing. Backlighting is the noun, backlit is the adjective.

It is impossible that you took this photo with the sun directly at your back; otherwise the tail would not be in shadow. More likely the sun was slightly behind you and off to the right side. For uploading to JP, the easiest way to tell if the aircraft is backlit is indeed looking at the tail. If it is in shadow, there is a high chance of receiving a rejection for backlit.

      Thank you for the answer.
After checking the exif you are right, I had the sun not in my back directly.
And the term backlit is clear now.
On the other hand I found a excellent website where you can calculate the path of the sun with help of google maps.
      Helpful for all spotters. https://www.suncalc.org

Unfortunately there is nothing to do. I missed hours editing and could not retrieve the photo. The way is to photograph with the light on your back as they said.
