Not sure what the DB editors would prefer. Better to ask them as they will have final say.

Borderline contrast for both, though the first would be acceptable for me.

Horizon is indeed a bit off though fixable, the poor contrast however is not.

It was now rejected for the foruth time. There was one because of dust and two of too bright/overexposed. Okay I corrected a bit and now its soft with no changes on the sharpness and only minimal adjustmens to the histogram. Also the photo looks compared to others normal and also my settings in lightroom are same like the rest of this batch. Maybe a bit more. But its also not out of focus as you can read all titles and when adding more sharpness it will get oversharpened as the titel and engine gets "jagged".
Sharpness looks acceptable to me, though there is some heat haze visible. Perhaps that's what caused the issue.

That looks quite soft, so it seems the rejection was correct.

This photo was rejected because of soft but I on the screenshot below it looks good and when adding more sharpening even when adding to a specific area only will make lines with steps. The tailhook looks soft but the cabin and the rest looks good in normal size. The focus according the focus points is set and shutting speed with 1/400s for a slow taxiing plane should also more then enough.

I think the problem here is your exposure just increase it for fix, the slight dark nose has no issue, I have some pictures with dark nose due to the lighting similar to yours (from behind of a/c)

Probably the angle of the sun might be the issue here. The Magma is fulltime side on while being perfectly lit. The Asiana has a pretty dark nose, while being photographed a little more head on. Can be a difference maker at (as it seems) Zeppelinheim.

I see what you mean even the final photo on my PC does not really show that "gap" I see here. I reuploaded it now. But with the Magma I still don't see the difference when comparing with other shots of that day from me. Even checked the sharpening but thats also same. Also the editing settings are generally the same as on the other shots, Aeroflog 777 and the Magma has same settings except brightness is more on the Magma and 0,05 less on the Aeroflot I have here uploaded (from today).
