Thanks as always Dana for explaining the rationale for such shots.

Given that it is an air show and there is a rope perimeter and supporting cones around the aircraft, i tried the best composition possible so that cones are not obstructing the landing gear; from any angle the cones could not be avoided. I myself in the past have uploaded pics from air shows similar to this. Is not acceptable to have such shots any more?

Thanks for your advice as always.

You will not find 100% in the DB on this, but generally if the obstruction was avoidable (on this day or another non-show day), it's more likely to be a rejection. That's why permanent stairs/fences around preserved aircraft are almost always acceptable. It also depends how much of the sign/rope is blocking for temporary obstructions, but thinking is if we have many other un-obstructed images of the same aircraft (likely not from airshows), then there isn't much incentive to accept ones that are obstructed.

Thank you Gerardo. Will re-process and have it pre-screened before attempting to upload again.

    Have a nice weekend.

    1. https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=7902121 - I had used verticals from the building below the control tower

    2. https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=7903414 - Vertical lines from the roof of the Marriott used to level the shot

    Thanks and regards,

Don't think the trees add that much. The dreamliner livery can be kept in the frame even if you cut more off the top.

Both borderline for (weak) contrast; first also has light halos and dust visible.

    Verticals are mostly leaning left.

I had this reject for backlit - https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=7709815. I am sure the sun was behind at that time of the day and you can see from little bit of the tail that is peeping out that it is well illuminated. I felt that rejection was a bit harsh for an under-belly shot.

    Hi!

Biggest Part of the Aircraft is in its own shadow what is the reason for the "backlit".

    Regards.
