Hi, it is soft and dark and the contrast is too low.

          Hi Jordan,

IMHO this photo is soft and lacks contrast.

Wait more comments from the JP crew and members.

          Cheers,

          Vinicius

Soft, a tad noisy and a little bit too high in the frame

Okay thanks. But there’s no problem with halos or vignettes right?

No halos or vignetting, but there is some pretty strong circular banding in the sky.

Okay thanks. I really appreciate the help. I've been working to get my first pic with a blue sky background up. Is this edit any better (sorry I know it is a different plane, but I was just trying to hone my editing skills)

no chance. It lacks contrast, looks soft and has too much noise.

Alright thanks. Sorry for the lack of skill. I'm trying my best with the equipment I have.

                        Hi,
It's not about equipment, on such condition even cheap cameras and lenses should get you acceptable results. Here it's probably more about the right settings for the conditions.

                        Kind Regards
                        Alex

Thanks for the advice and support guys. I tried again with these four pics, but the main things I'm struggling with are noise and softness. These were mostly shot on 1/640 shutter speed and f/10 to f/11. All advice and tips are appreciated.

All of them a bit soft with some minor color issues (oversaturation & chromatic aberration). Should all be fixable.

                                Hi,
I've been having a lot of problems with soft pics while trying to upload a pic with a blue sky background (I've been trying and tbh I still have no idea what I'm doing). For this pic, I've tried three different editing softwares to sharpen/apply noise reduction. Any feedback is appreciated.
