Framing on the left side was deemed a little too awkward. Personally, I could see it going either way.

Regarding this rejection, my assumption is that it is because of excessive contrast. What is your observation?

More like overprocessed/lack of shadows.

Hi,

This rejection came through. I'd expect it to be rejected, if at all, as you mentioned for a minor part of it being backlit. I was surprised to see it was rejected for contrast since I can't see any issues regarding that. Any ideas?

Tbh, contrast/backlit rejections are sometimes interchangeable. The light is pretty harsh due to the angle, not sure what you can really do to improve it.

Borderline. Technically backlit, but the majority of the aircraft visible is lit so might get a pass.

I recently saw several backlit night images and revisited this old image.

Before I work on it, is it likely to be accepted?

For me, no, lighting is too poor. Others may disagree of course, but I don't think the chances would be great.
