I'm new to photography and around here so looking for some advice. My photo was rejected as undersharpened (soft) with too much or too little contrast.

Any suggestions on hoe to improve are greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Doesn't seem to soft to me, but the contrast is unnatural - looks overprocessed actually, like too much clarity or shadow/highlight tool. There's an orange tint as well. The quality looks good enough that a good re-edit should make it acceptable.

The rejection notes were:
Over Processed / Bad postprocessing
Too much or too little contrast
The subject of this photo was a damp cold soaked fuselage which gave rise to very unusual and interesting lines, colours and shades at sunset. Its had very little if any post processing and mostly by the use of Levels for contrast purposes.
