    Hi There,

I've been recently been having trouble being able to get my photos accepted. I was wondering if this photo had a chance? If it doesn't how could I make the photo better?Click image for larger version

No, this one does not have a chance. It is backlit, greatly underexposed, poorly framed, and suffering from compression. Most of those could possibly be fixed, but the fact that is backlit makes it not worth the effort.

Is there any functions on my camera or editing software that can remove backlit?

I also tried to fix the backlitness. (Seen Below)Click image for larger version

Exposure is better, but backlit can't be 'fixed' as it relates to the position of the sun when you took the photo. As I said, this photo cannot be made acceptable for here, but perhaps you can do a little research into basic photographic techniques, and then follow that up with a review of acceptance standards here so that future attempts have a better result.

Unfortunately these would not be accepted if uploaded; first only one would be possible, as they would be considered similar; second, there are multiple quality issues such as softness/blurriness, heat haze, cropping, centering, leveling, and obstruction/dirt.

Blurry, poor contrast, among other issues, so unfortunately no.

Some tips, I would do a google search, and if you are in Tassie, join the Melbourne spotters group on facebook. They will be able to assist you more on there. As for the backlit, you want the sun behind you, ie shining on your back when you are taking photos. Preferably in nice sunny conditions. We have all started somewhere.
