In these cases, can these photos be considered similar? They are on different days and despite being "nocturnal", they are in different light conditions:

Both subjective decisions, though the first would probably be fine and the second likely a rejection.

In addition to these other three photos:

1. borderline contrast/horizon
2. blurry/heat hazed. no chance.
3. soft, borderline obstruction

I had previously received rejection for undersharpen on the following photos. After correcting them with a little sharpening came the oversharpen rejection.

Honestly, the sharpening was minimal, in specific spots. I believe that a better criterion was needed, more or less, in these two cases. So I ask them, is it worth appealing? Or will I need to edit again trying to find an extremely specific middle ground for the photo to be accepted?

Imho, the earlier versions were better, and the 'corrected' versions rightfully rejected. The first one is maybe worth an appeal, but the second looks like a classic too soft -> oversharpened to compensate.

Taking advantage of this, I kindly ask you to pre-screen this photo:

Poor contrast, and somewhat soft/blurry towards the tail. Don't think this is fixable.

5. usually if the aircraft is more than 50% of the frame, not ramp..but this looks just about 50%. I'd go with ramp anyway.
