Both subjective decisions, though the first would probably be fine and the second likely a rejection.

Softness and contrast are issues for most of the images. The crop is not ok for the third.

There are issues with contrast, sharpening and obstruction. #3 might be fixable.

Honestly, the sharpening was minimal, in specific spots. I believe that a better criterion was needed, more or less, in these two cases. So I ask them, is it worth appealing? Or will I need to edit again trying to find an extremely specific middle ground for the photo to be accepted?
Imho, the earlier versions were better, and the 'corrected' versions rightfully rejected. The first one is maybe worth an appeal, but the second looks like a classic too soft -> oversharpened to compensate.

Poor contrast, and somewhat soft/blurry towards the tail. Don't think this is fixable.

    1. borderline contrast
    2. soft, contrast
    3. soft
    4. soft, borderline contrast/horizon (CW)
    5. usually if the aircraft is more than 50% of the frame, not ramp..but this looks just about 50%. I'd go with ramp anyway.
