      Soft/blurry. DOF too low.

              Poor contrast, borderline oversharpened/noisy.

                • Good morning, always with the intention of growing to understand how to make photos better and not to overload the screeners with useless work, I'll tell you my case today.
I received a rejection for overexposure. Ok, maybe I didn't check properly when I uploaded the photo. Checking the histogram, however, I don't notice any overexposure but only a peak of white due, obviously, to the light from the window.
I decide to appeal the photo and the appeal is rejected with this reason: Respectfully, the histogram clearly shows the clipped white tones on the right side.
I would like to understand. If the rejection is overexposed, what about the cropped whites? The histogram in its exposure is centered.
So, do I have to adjust the whites?
Obviously it could be that the photo is not fixable and, in this case, I do not insist on correcting it.
Thanks and sorry for my bad english. Click image for larger version

                  • If I was the editor, I might use the mask tool in Lightroom, then select the luminance range, detecting the brightness of the windows. Decrease the whites or highlights so that there will be no overexposure shown in the histogram. It is just my point of view on editing, but it doesn't really help. I think it will be better if you take this picture at night, as there's no effect of outdoor light. Hope this can help you somehow.

                      • Hello, I wonder if this shot is acceptable and, moreover, not being in the database, it can be loaded as hot.
                        Thank you

                          Image is extremely compressed.

                                Soft, borderline dark.
