Motive is rather borderline. Some screeners might accept it, others not. For me, a real killer is the noise in the shadows. So, my suggestion is, try to increase the quality of the photo and upload it. What can you loose?Originally posted by comet1 View PostHi,

one question to understand and NOT to complain:
This picture was accepted in the db:
And this was rejected for "similar photo uploaded"
After appeal I got the answer
Admin Comments >> head-on and side-on view from the same day are regarded as similar
The guideline says:
Similar refers to:
- a photo taken from the same sequence the same day e. landing, taxiing, ramp parking or take off
or
- same registration, similar angle or composition or same background taken on different dates.
- Close up views and full or partial views of an a/c taken at the same angle, are generally considered similar.
For me that is a different angle and it is not the same sequence. Imo the admins appeal answer doesn't fit to the guideline.
The rule itself makes sense to me but in this case it is imo handled too strictly.
What do you think?

Hi,
this pic was rejected for too much or too litttle contrast and backlit.
After appeal concerning the backlit I recieved "
Visible side of the aircraft mostly in shadow. as answer.
It was made in the morning with the hidden sun in the back. Of course it was dull weather and due to the misty background and the grey a/c it is not briliiant but cannot be backlit imo.
It would have been the very first vistit of an A400M @ EDDL at all and therefore I regard it as acceptable in the db.
What do you mean?
