As I said, borderline but acceptable for me. Can't promise the same for everyone else. Adding more contrast is not likely to help, as the light seems to have been just a bit overcast.

These are all still borderline at best, and some worse than before. Really, I recommend either submitting them as they are now (realizing there is a good chance they will be rejected) or just keeping them for your personal collection and trying again with better weather/lighting conditions. Then you won't have to spend so much time and effort trying to edit them.

The contrast issues aren't editing issues, it looks like there may have been some high or light clouds when you were shooting, which is making the light a bit washed out.
