Hi, I'm really lost with this one:

JetPhotos.com is the biggest database of aviation photographs with over 5 million screened photos online!

It's one of the sharpest photos in the series and gets rejected for soft

Also could anyone clear this up to me, I don't quite understand how it's backlit either? The sun is reflecting off the fuselage near the horizontal stabilizer, surely it isn't in the shadow

        Regards

Agree not quite backlit, but whole left side is quite soft, almost blurry. Also needs CW rotation.

I understand it’s due to the excess amounts of light (sun reflections) in that area? Is there a way to fix it digitally?

No, without seeing the original, my best guess is that it's due to a combination of heat haze and lens softness. This is not fixable.

Hi, I took a bunch that got rejected today for dark and contrast. Please let me know if these are better.

1 will be very hard to fix, if able, still bad contrast, but it is not your fault, is the weather which does not help

                  2 borderline

                  3 dark

                  4 blurry soft

                  5 Dark, contrast

Hi, thanks for the quick reply! Yep, weather is horrible most of the time, cons of living in St Petersburg I guess...

I edited 3 and 5 according to your advice. Are they any better now?

Both would be rejected for contrast.

Poor contrast due to overcast conditions. Not fixable by adding or reducing contrast.

1: soft, borderline lacking contrast, maybe fixable
                              2-4: blurry, noisy, hardly fixable
                              5: obstructed

I understand the night shots are really noisy but there's nothing I could do about it, I had to set the aperture all the way down to 5.6 and ISO up to 1600 to have some sort of decent still photo instead of a blurry set of lights.
