Heat distortion happens when there's a high difference of temperature between the ground (which can get very hot) and the air above it. Like Geri said, there's no way to edit out the heat. But just a few advices :

- Learn to know your spots, the closer to the aircrafts, the better - Some spots are great but are only usable on certain weather conditions, or seasons (even if heat haze also happens on a cold sunny winter day)
- Less heat haze on early mornings or evening (for obvious reasons)
- Less heat haze during windy days
- on some approach shots you sometimes have buildings, roads, creating heat only on the part above them, again, try to move around, find the best angle to avoid the heat sources
- Heat haze is less visible at 1280pix than 1920 ...

What GeDo means is that in your photo there is a lot of heat haze that cannot be fixed. The heat haze makes the borderline of everything become "distorted" - so bad that the photo cannot be accepted. Better be in your personal collection.

Heat distortion simply ruins a photo and can't be fixed.

This appears to be the same image as before (despite a new edit), so the results would be the same:

And from this, we can see the quality is quite poor. There is a significant amount of noise & compression, and the helicopter itself is blurry. In my opinion, it is not worth trying to edit it, as not matter what you do, the quality will never be acceptable for here. Sorry.
