  • Bad Color Help

    Hi Folks,

I have question with this photos. It gets rejects reason of: Bad Color (Over/Under Saturation, Hue) on my first trial due to I did enhanced color a little bit.

    First Trail
    https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=6957888

Then I thought maybe I was edited too much. And I did upload my second trail with no editing. And still got an Bad Color (Over/Under Saturation, Hue).

    Second Trail:
    https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=6957893

I was shot with sRGB for sure all the time. The color setting did not changed during shots.

May I ask why this color issue happening since I did not changed settings? Also how may I prevent this happening again for the future?

    Thanks,
    Xinyi

The photos have been saved with colour profile set to Adobe RGB. Check your default settings in your photo editor.

The problem with colour profile: Other colour profiles than sRGB can show wrong colours on some screens, depending on system and browser. Worst of all is ProPhoto RGB, which causes a strong red colour cast.

      Hi LX-A343,

Thank you very much for your reply, However with few trail, I found this scenario applied:

      Camera Setting: sRGB
      File Format: RAW (Canon CR2)
Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 Color Profile: sRGB IEC61966-2.1

However when I open RAW in Photoshop with Camera Raw 10.5, and click "open image", it will covert to AdobeRGB. Even my photoshop workspace set to sRGB.

Have you been into this situation? Please advice.

Thank you again for your help!

      Best,
      Xinyi

        Hi LX-A343,

        I foung the issue.

Camera Raw has its own color profile, alone with Photoshop, when I open my Camera RAW, it will auto converts to Adobe RGB.

By change Camera Raw's Workflow Option to sRGB, problem seems fixed.

Thank you very much for your help and have a wonderful day!

        Best,
        Xinyi
