    Hello all,

I suppose it's my turn to start one of these threads. I just received a rejection for the following photo:

Name:	DSC_3080JP.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	467.1 KB
ID:	1045821

    Reasons given were as follows:

    Dark / Underexposed
Too much or too little contrast
Categories wrong or missing (Note: I chose the dawn/dusk box as this is at dusk, right during sunset, so I'm unsure how it's incorrect)

With the appeal response saying the contrast is acceptable, but imag e is underexposed and that I used the wrong color profile. "Use sRGB." I use Adobe Photoshop to edit and as far as I can see, my color profile is sRGB, but I am still relatively new to taking photos and editing so I still have a lot to learn. Can anyone lead me in the right direction?

    Thanks all!

    Hello,

    1. color profile was (and still is, including the image attached to this post) set to Adobe RGB 1998. As mentioned, sRGB is prefered.
    2. 'Night Shot' category was not selected.

      Thanks for the response, dlowwa.

I have a new one for you guys:

      Reason(s) For Rejection:
      - Horizon unlevel
      - Categories wrong or missing
      - Bad Info in the following field(s): Airline

I didn't select any categories. Which one applies to this? Should I have added that it's a business jet, even though it's operating as an airline? Confused.

I need assistance on what to use for a horizon reference. Also, I am confused on how the airline info is bad. Taos Air (opb Ultimate Jet Charters, which is what I used) is not in the database yet. I did submit it. Should I wait for it to be added first?

Info on this new airline: https://www.dallasnews.com/business/...-easier-winter

      Thank you.

        Should be Night Shot.

All references (vertical + horizontal) are leaning right = needs CCW rotation.

          Thanks for the advice, dlowwa.

I applied to CCW. Here's what it looks like now. I'll now be waiting for Taos Air to be added.

Looks a bit soft, but horizon should be ok.

Still borderline. I would suggest a lower resolution (like 1200pix) if you want to increase your chances.

Thanks for the advice. I'm still working on my post abilities.

Here is the same pic (1280 pix) with more sharpening.

And here is the pic with a little extra sharpening but at 1200 pix.

                    1200 pix definitely better.

Oops! I selected the wrong pic. Either way, I'll reupload with the 1200 pix one once Taos Air is added. Thanks again.

                        Hello,

I have had the following photo of the Turkish F-35 rejected twice for "too much/too little contrast" and "over processing."

Could someone please lead me in the right direction on how to properly edit this photo?

Is this too dark/underexposed, or does it look better?

Halos are less evident, but it does need brightening, and also a bit more contrast.
