Dear dlowwa, thanks for the pre screening. I don't know what happened during editing. Do you have any advice how can I avoid the compression problem on these pictures and in the future? The resizing or cropping caused this problem?

This compression is unfortunately likely due to the camera you were using. Super-zoom bridge cameras like the S5700 tend to use relatively small sensors (compared to DSLRs for example), which results in a kind of pixel smearing, or loss of fine details. This is visible in the images taken with that camera, and is not something you can fix with editing. We are generally more lenient for older images which are more likely to suffer this, but your images are unfortunately not that old or rare.

Thank you very much. I am sad a bit, because I have lot of photo with bridge camera, but these remain on my computer for a memory.

                2. borderline contrast
                3. horizon (CW)

                Otherwise quality looks ok.

Dear JP Team. I got a rejection for this picture; too much or too little contrast. Is there any possibility to edit this picture to be acceptable? https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=7198270

White plane in front of a white sky and no direct sunlight. I would personally wait for a better opportunity.

                    Regards
                    Alex

All have good chances to be accepted. However, 2 and 3 could be a bit sharper.

Sorry if I ask a folly, but what does mean borderline cut - off and borderline contrast? Is there any possibility to fix it?
