Likely a rejection for heat haze.

Yeah, kinda thought so. Do you think if I lower the resolution it would fix it or is there just too much. I know that works when there is a little bit but I personally dont think it will work. Still doesnt hurt to ask

Hmm okay. Just so I know for future reference, where on the photo is the contrast flat and light diffused?

Poor contrast due to flat/diffuse light. Can't be fixed by editing.

Okay thanks. Ill try and brighten it a bit. In the mean time, is this one okay or is it too dark? This was really my first time spotting in the late evening/night, so I am still learning. Thanks

Exposure is ok, but tail is blurry and contrast borderline at best.
