  • Possible new registration to the database, Looking to get feedback on this photo. I realize the sun is just on the nose area and would potentially be blown out highlights, would this edit account for that issue? Would there be any other issues like contrast, exposure, and potentially horizon? Thank you!

I see issues with horizon, softness, and compression.

      • With this re-edit, I accounted for the unlevel horizon, added a bit of sharpness to account for the softness, and increased the size of the photo to 1400px to see if the increased size would help with the jpeg compression issue. Please let me know what your thoughts are on this edit. Thank you.

Horizon and sharpness look ok. Compression is not related to pixel size, so changing to 1400px is irrelevant.

          • Looking for feedback on these 3 photos:

            1) With this photo, I want to make sure there are not any blown out highlights, that the exposure is good enough and that there are no editing halos visible

            2) Same as #1, but also want to make sure that this one is not over processed

            3) Revisiting this photo, had issues with contrast and I think jpeg compression. Would like feedback to see if this re-edit fixes these issues?

              1. soft, overprocessed
              2. borderline vignetting
              3. dark

All images look slightly compressed as well, possibly due to being heavy crops?

              Comment

              • Hard to fix the vignette issue, but with these two I extended the crop a bit, but not too much so that it was still evenly in the shot and not a lot of empty space. I fixed the overprocessed of the biz jet and increased sharpness ever so slightly to fix the softness issue and I increased brightness just a bit for the single prop so that it was not as dark. Please let me know if the issues above have been resolved. Thank you.

                        2) had to crop this one a little bit (is there any visible jpeg compression?), framing, exposure and any noise issues?

                        • The United looks ok to me, the GA is a tad soft at places (like the reg)

                          Regards
                          Alex

                          • Increased sharpness over the whole aircraft just a tad and did a sharpness increase around the reg area as well. I did not want to be too drastic in those changes, so please let me know if this has fixed the softness issue. Thank you

                              Still borderline for soft.

                              • Thoughts on this photo? I am looking to see if there are any issues with exposure, color, contrast, jpg compression and if there are any issues with it being backlit since the sun was directly overhead. Thank you
