Not backlit, but editing halos visible, contrast is borderline, and soft towards the right side.

    • I decreased the highlight and shadow sliders to help get rid of the editing halos, please let me know if these changes were sufficient. I added a bit of sharpening on the tail end of the aircraft to account for the slight softness on that side and I attempted to increase contrast a bit to make or not borderline anymore. Please let me know if there are any other issues that you see with this photo. Thank you

Halos gone, but still borderline soft/contrast.

        • Took your advice and increased sharpness and contrast a bit, but did not want to increase it too much, but I did not do it enough as it warranted a rejection, but I do not understand the rejection for bad info. Could you clarify what info was incorrect on the rejection? https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=8057496

Increased sharpness on the tail end yet again and increased contrast to see if that did the trick. I will use this as my last attempt on this photo.

          Thanks

This is not a civilian aircraft.

Still borderline for both. If you're simply touching up the same image you already had rejected, I'd actually recommend re-working it from scratch - if you think the quality is actually there.

            • Would there be any issues with this photograph? Would the grass be considered an obstruction? Does it have a level horizon and would there be any issues with heat haze? Thank you!

Other than softness, shouldn't be any issues.

Might need a little CW rotation, but the other issues shouldn't apply.

Cropping is acceptable, but pretty high chance of rejection for heat haze, as not only is it visible on the JAL, but the reason you've centered it such is to include the AA 787, and it's even more heavily hazed.

                        • Totally understand dlowwa, thank you for the explanation on the previous photo.

Looking for feedback on this photo. I am worried that it might be affected by heat haze. I am hoping that I am wrong. Would you provide some thoughts on this photo? Thank you. If there are other factors that affect this photo, I would be appreciative if you could bring those to my attention as well.

I'd say 50/50 chances at best due to (slightly) noticeable heat haze, and the oversharpening to compensate. Don't see any other major issues.

                            • Here is a re-edit of the SAS, I have slightly decreased the sharpening to account for the oversharpened issue. Please let me know if the heat haze issue is still present. Thank you.

Don't think you're going to be able to get much better than borderline on this one, since the haze will always be present, it's just a matter of how noticeable it is.
