  • Rejection / Prescreening Advice - Bruce

I don't know what over processed / bad processing means on this photo. Can someone help me learn what the problem is?

Are you referring to the dark area above the fuselage around the wing, or the white outline around bottom on this version with equalize turned on?

The darker areas of the sky immediately adjacent to the brighter areas of the fuselage. This a direct result of overprocessed/bad editing. Try to avoid using clarity/vibrance/de-haze/shadow-highlight or other such tools when editing.

Borderline for dark/contrast, but processing shouldn't be an issue.

Ok, thanks. I raised the levels a little bit and will give it a shot. I was trying not to lose too much detail from the aft fuselage window area because its so bright so that's why it might look a little darker overall than the original one. The original problem with halos happened because I lowered the highlights too much due to the fuselage brightness, so to fix the halos I had to raise back the highlights some.

As I hinted at in my first reply, better to not play around with shadow/highlight tool if you want to avoid any issues with processing.

Do you think this one would be backlit or bad contrast?
