RYan, to be honest, the chances of this picture beeing accepted are somewhere around 0%. That's a perfect "bad motive".

Whoever screened it must have thought different, otherwise it would have benn badmotive instead of ceheck categories.

Oh well, I am feeling too sick to fight it.

Or, the screener just checked one of the standard rejection messages. The screen page only allows one entry to be selected or free text. The latter is time consuming and only needed for special occasions.

              touch up

And I though the rules where......... minor adjustments can be made to a photo, such as rotate, crop and USM.

Why not repaint the whole aircraft with Photoshop while you're at it. As far as I am concerned the picture was bad from the beginning redoing it wont make it a new photography worth of a prize.

And I feel the same way about people using the clone tool in!
I never said I was going to upload it, It is not a photograph. The only edit I do is slight color correction and or contrast. Oh, I also do sharpen which is the opposite of this. It is the Photographers call because if he does do a good job, the screener will NOT know. The photographer sets their own standards, where are yours?

                  Sharpen
                  Color correction
                  Contrast
                  ETC....

The sad part about all this is that Ryan uses an F717...

film for the second time, the only shots from the 717 that were grainy were ones in poor lighting.

                        QuebecAir,

There is really very little that can be done in Photoshop to alter a photo that could not also be done with a print photo in a darkroom. Photoshop only makes it easier and less time consuming. Ansel Adams is generally considered one of the greatest photographers to have lived yet very few of his final prints looked much like the same shot as it came out of the camera. Photography is an art that takes place in more than just the camera and the same skill that sets up and shoots a good photo can often improve it later either in a darkroom or in electronic post-processing. It's all part of the same art.

True it can be overdone, such as uploading a type of aircraft in a livery that it never carried in reality. But simply improving what is already there to it's best possible visual presentation should not be considered a cheat somehow.
