  • Saudi VIP aircraft dropping airline livery

Saudia will no longer operate the fleets of the government and royalty, so the airlines livery will not be used by them anymore

Its being replaced with Kingdom of Saudi Arabia livery https://cdn.jetphotos.com/full/6/77599_1562527126.jpg which has been in use since the late 2000s on a 737-700BBJ previously in Saudi Arabian Airlines livery of that period, govt 787s were delivered in the look a few years back and later some Gulfstream Business jets all in Saudi Arabian Airlines livery got it as well, last year a 777-300ER was also delivered in the livery, and the single 747-400 in Saudi Arabian Airlines livery has since been repainted in it.

Other aircraft due for the change are A340-200X which dropped Saudia livery in early 2020 and sports a private jet look, 757-200 and A318 both in Saudia livery, its not known if 747-300 in Saudi Arabian Airlines livery will stay and be repainted.

So, who will be operating those flights, the RSAF or are they creating a new entity?

Also had/have some Falcon biz jets and a military C-130 in Saudi Arabian Airlines livery that may get the scheme if still in service.

The 747-300 had gone for heavy checks few years back, but came out repainted again in the Saudi Arabian Airlines livery instead of the current Saudia one.

Didnt know they had two A340s, HZ-HMS2 is the one in current Saudia livery, HZ-124 which was in private jet livery has now got the KSA govt livery. Planespotters shows this aircraft was given up to Al Atheer Aviation a private jet operator but used by the govt, it may now have gone back to the govt, that is why the repaint
