I have always been curious about the amount of flights from Tel Aviv to Batumi. There always seems to be around 4-6 daily flights between the two cities. Is this aimed Israelis going in holiday to Batumi or for Georgians visiting Israel?

4-6 flights daily? That's alot. From wikipedia I know these 'famous' numbers:
"The most sucessful destinations for this airport, international flights" (and also for domestic flights).
I don't know the numbers for Tel Aviv. But obviously, Batumi seems to be in the Top 10 (?).
Whereas EDDF Rhein/Main is not. Only 1 daily flight, and as I regret, not with my favorite aircraft of all times (see my avatar).
But with B738 . Not as cool as a 744, but nevertheless..
The German long haul is alive since 1955, 69 years and still kicking.
