New Airline - Viking Airlines

Hi,
New airline, Viking Airlines plans to base 2 MD 83s at Heraklion, Greece with a planned start up of May this year.



From there website:

Viking Airlines Will begin operations in May 2003.

Aircraft of the type McDonnel Douglas MD-83 with 161 economy seats will be used for charter operations throughout Europe.

Initial plans are for 2 of this type to be based in Heraklion, Greece operating charter flights on behalf of a number of Tour Operators to Austria, France and the United Kingdom.

Should be interesting to see how they go. I hope they come to Manchester.
