Would my name help me get hired?

My 1st name is Douglas and my middle name is McArthur. Do you think that would help a little bit when at an interview with an airline employer?

No! Generally airlines are not into running wars. They have enough problems of their own. haha.

Now seriously. Other than the name of a somebody famous in your home country you have to have some talents to offer the airline or any other company. If they hire you because of your name they are pretty sad.

Pretty much what Dale said. They cant not hire you because of your name. If they didnt hire you because of that, theres a lawsuit. Plus its illegal.

Ahaha Until recently, it could have helped in some parts of Europe to be registered as Somebody's Son ....Still works but not any more in the airline business !

if you presented yourself as only douglas macarthur, you're falsely identifying yourself. the upside in an interview is that it could be a good icebreaker. it could also stick in someone's head.
my advice...don't use it.
