"An airline puts a veteran airplane out to pasture, does the gold watch go on the wing or the fuselage?
Twenty-two years ago America West Airlines started out with three Boeing 737-200s. Thursday afternoon officials of the Tempe-based carrier will retire the last one in its fleet.
Since 1986 this particular plane has flown more than 800,000 passengers.
America West's current fleet size stands at just under 140 aircraft."

After Southwest's retirement of the 737-200 another airline retires them. Although this happened a few days ago, no one mentioned it.
