Man Is living near LAS better then KSDF? Or more diverse I bet right? Or whcih airport were you closer to SDF or LAS? Looks like an awesome photo shot. I sure wish I lived near a major airport to get traffic.

To the others- letys expand the question more, for those who DONT live near an airport (2 hours or more lets say) do you often get traffic in flight for a certain airport? Where I live im always getting Delta flights from CVG that are heading in the Southwest direction, mostly i get 738, and 757, although I saw a MD88 once. We also get some traffic from the BOS area to the west coast and they are in crusing flight over my area. Iv seen an AA 777 DFW-ORD once that totally rocked! So do you guys have something like that?

Since I'm SE of OKC, I usually see AA M80's and Eagle RJ's to/from DFW, CO 73's and COX ERJ's from IAH, and lots of WN 'craft to/from HOU and DAL.

When traffic's landing to the north, I always see the evening Fedex 722 (I've been seeing it the past few days) come in from MEM. Sometimes, it goes just a mile or less south of my house.

Then there are always the transnational and regional flights going overhead in almost all directions which you can see by way of clear skies and contrails.

Only 5 minutes from General Mitchell Int'l Airport (MKE). The added bonus there in the observation deck at the end of the runway

I am about a half hour car ride away from Newark. Depending on the weather, my house is sometimes over the approach to Newark so we get to see all kinds of aircraft flying by. Most are from Continental which makes sense.
